How To Make Your Mix Sound More Full

Hey guys today i want to talk about how you can make your mix sound more full, like do you ever get to that point where your stuck and at the bottom of your mix just dose not sound right and it just sounds like it could be more full in the back round well i have some ideas for you to change that and make your mix sound good and full and know more empty spaces. Hears some ideas add some other instruments in the back round like shakers tambourines bells all that kind of stuff hold those instruments up to what ever microphone you are using at that point and play them along with your song and then set your faders on your mixer and see where they fit into your mix of your song. make sure when you hold your instrument up to the microphone make sure its not to close. So before you start recording make sure you find the right rage before you start recording and make sure you faders on your mixer are not to high because then when you play the track back its going to sound all muffle and that's one thing you don't want. Once your done recording those instruments pull up the faders and listen and find where they fit into the mix of your song. Recording and mixing is all about balancing your tracks and seeing where everything fits in

Vocal Editing

Hey guys today i want to talk to you about editing your vocals where there are breaths you tack out and where there are unwanted noises you just don't want to hear in there. So lets say you have this vocal track that you just record and then you played it back and there's some breaths in there that you would just love to get ride off but your new to editing and recording. Well this is where i can help you and tell you what you need to do. What you want to do is zoom in on your track and then press play, and listen to where ever you hear a noises you don't like then when you hear it, the next step is to find out where that noise is in the track, once you found it you want to tack your slicing tool ever Daw comes with one Daw mean your recording software its just another name for it so once you have your slicing tool and you found where the part is in your song you want to tack out tack your slicing tool and slice in front of the part you want to tack out and in the back of the part you want to tack out and then every Daw comes with a mute tool so find your mute tool and once you found it tack it and clink on that part in the middle and that will mute the part you don't want. Another way you can get ride of unwanted noises in your vocal tracks is by doing the same thing by slicing but you don't mute it this time you just delete it but if your going to go with that way you want to make sure you put your tack back to where it was because sometimes when your doing this is your Daw is on the wrong setting then your track can jump to another part of the song it is possible to put it back but i don't know what kind of Daw you guys use so i cant tell you how to do it. Now if your a cubase user like me then i can teach you all kinds of stuff and tell you how to do it but Im not sure what Daw you use so i cant. So just remember slicing your vocals tracks and getting rid of unwanted noises can make your vocals sound more clean and a lot more upfront in your mix

I hope this information help you if you have any questions about anything please email me of leave me a comment asking me or send me a message enjoy

Quick Update

Hey guys today i have a quick update for you i just want to tell you guys that i am all done with my song called [ You are my God ] and i just want to tell you a little about it and how it all came together. So i was sitting up in my room one day playing my guitar and i started playing these chords, and then i just started humming to them and i just thought to myself you know what i could make a song out of these chords. So after i was all done with the chords to the chorus i started working on the verses to the song, now i new the verses where going to be very hard to do because i had know clue what i wanted this song to sound like i had know clue what the vision was. until i thought to myself man i know i would like to do something i never done before so i started playing like this blues thing and i was like man that really goes well with the chorus.
After i was all done writing out all the music it was time to start writing the lyrics now the lyrics where not as hard as the music the music i would say took me like 4 days to write, but the lyrics took me like 2 days to write them. So once i got done with all the music and all the lyrics i started tracking drums to the song and tracking guitar, bass guitar and piano and vocals tracking took a week to do. Once all the tracking was done i started editing editing took along time i would say it took like 2 weeks to do, but once the editing was all done i could hear and see that the song was really coming together. So then after editing i started mixing a few days after editing and mixing was the biggest this to do cause it took like 3 weeks to do really long time and a lot of hours but in the end it was all worth it

If you would like to download the song go to soundcloud .com and typ in Ryan Hudak and look for the album cover that saids Rise Up

Using EQ

So today i was working on my new song i started mixing today and i started out on mixing my acoustic guitar track and for some reason it did not sound the way i wanted it to. But then i found out i put a dual filter on it and it made the guitar sound just all dual and flat and i wanted my guitars to pop and be more full so what i did is i got rid of that dual filter and added an EQ and lowered the low end of it and then i boosted the high end a little and then i got rid of some of the mid and i played it back and it sounded great just the way i wanted it to sound.
So you gonna think of it this way EQ is a very powerful took when you mixing its your most powerful tool in your whole recording software if you don't use EQ your not getting anywhere with your mixing and if you don't know how to use EQ or you don't know what EQ is you should not be recording music, because EQ is the most importing tool for when your mixing, let me give you some tips for when your Using EQ.
Its always better to cut then to boost because if you boost all the time all your tracks are going to come out bad
So remember always cut don't boost

Better Bass Guitar

Hey everyone I'm back for another update today i want to talk to you guys on bass guitar and how you can get a much better bass sound out of your mix. There is a few option you can do to get a nice deep clean sound bass mix because i know all you bass players out there our all you musicians out there are looking for a great way to make your bass tracks sound really good. Well I'm going to tell you something i did today while i was mixing my bass track and it really helped, i used a little compression on my bass track but it still did not sound the way i wanted it to sound so then i went back into my plugins and looked around and i came across this one plugin called a
( Dual Filter ) and i tried it out and for some reason it just blow me away of how great the bass sounded after that it sounded nice and deep nice and clean and i was really happy with it. So sometime if one of your plugins dose not work and is not making your track sound the way you want it to sound play around
With some other plugin you might just be amazed of what kind of stuff you can do. I've learned over the years of recording music and playing music that in your home recording studio its always good to change things up and try new things because it might just make your music sound better then ever
so just remember there might always be something out there like a dual filter that can change the sound

So go out and try new things i hope to hear from you guys and let me know what you guys are trying cause i love to hear feedback from you guys

God bless

Titer Tracks

Today I want to talk to you guys about how to get a much titer vocal track in your recordings, with out using plugins. Hears some tricks that I fell really help and will make your vocals sound a lot titer and a lot more full. First thing you want to do is zoom into your vocal track and see if your to vocal tracks one on the bottom and one of the top line up together, if they don't hears a great trick to fix that. Find where the first sound wave starts then tack what ever slicing tool you have in your DAW every DAW has one so you don't have to worry about that, and go ahead and start slicing where ever the top vocal track dose not line up with your bottom track and then start draging the track that dose not line up, after you have done all that go ahead back and click on the tow tracks you over lapped and press the X key on your keyboard and that will
Insert a great tool that is always helpful
To use its called a crossfade and if your
New to recording and you don't know what that is it pretty much X out the unwanted noises that are in your tracks
And make your tracks sound a lot better
Great trick I hightly recumened you use crossfades where ever you can in your song.
So pretty much what I'm telling you to do is lining up your tracks is very importing
Because it will change that whole sound
Of your song and make it sound so much
Better and so much more clean and clear and then you might not have to do that much more mixing, so editing your tracks and editing stuff out that's unwanted in your song is importing please use this trick and keep coming back to my sit for more information on recording and mixing

THANK YOU

Edit Your Tracks

One of the things music producers forget to do when there first brand new to recording is they don't edit there tracks they think write after there done recording they can go write into mixing. Now let me tell you guys write now thats not true all tell you why its a huge mistake going write into mixing after recording your tracks. Because once you record your tracks and then you mix them some of the plugins you use to mix like reverb and delay once those plugins are on your track there on there for good there's know tracking them off so you need to think because you do something in your Daw. Hears another reason why mixing is bad before editing because you could mix your whole song and then you wont even know there's little parts in the song that you don't want in there until you tack in out and put it on a CD cause once you put it on a CD your going to hear all these noises that you don't want to hear in the back round trust me i've been there and it dose not sound good.
Now once your all done editing your tracks and one more thing i bet your wondering how long will it tack you to edit every single track well for me when i edit my track i record the drums one day then the next day i record bass guitar after then the next day i sit down in my studio and i edit each track and then i move on to everything els so don't do it all in one day sitting that long in front of the computer editing over and over again will not be good
So what I'm saying is tack your time editing and give your self a few days to do it it will change the sound of your tracks and make them sound a lot better and a lot more clean trust me edit your tracks and if someone tells you you don't need to edit your tracks don't listen to them because your music will just come out better and then you can prove a point to everyone so tack your time edit out all those unwanted noise first give your self a few days to do it and then you can go ahead and start mixing your tracks. And the other great thing about ending is
when its time to mix you might not have to do that much mixing because you already edited everything out of the song that you don't want in there because after editing your song will sound clean already so take what i said use it in all your songs and it will make your tracks or album just what ever your working on it will make it sound so much better.

I hope this helped you and pleas keep coming back to my site to keep learning about recording

God Bless
